Ory Segal

Ory Segal is an Israel-based cybersecurity industry expert currently serving as an investor at Kooply and an active member of Cyberstarts VC. He brings over 20 years of industry experience, previously serving as the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of PureSec before its corporate acquisition by Palo Alto Networks in June 2019. Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, Segal spent five years at IBM from 2007 to 2012 as a Security Products Architect and AppScan Product Manager. His earlier career included a tenure as Director of Security Research at Watchfire, which was also acquired by IBM, and he has recently held advisory roles at emerging startups including Zenity and Oxeye. Today, his primary focus centers on leveraging his extensive technical background in cloud and application security to identify, fund, and support early-stage enterprise cybersecurity startups.
