Ozgun Erdogan is the cofounder and CEO of Ubicloud, an open-source cloud infrastructure platform providing an alternative to traditional public cloud providers. Under his leadership, the Y Combinator-backed startup participated in the W24 batch and secured $16 million in seed funding in early 2024 to scale its operations. The company currently operates with a dedicated team of 15 employees and delivers cost-efficient bare-metal cloud services to a growing base of over 500 customers. Previously, Erdogan served as the cofounder and CTO of Citus Data, a distributed PostgreSQL database company that was successfully acquired by Microsoft in 2019. Following this acquisition, he worked as a Partner at Microsoft leading PostgreSQL engineering teams, building upon his earlier career experience developing distributed systems at Amazon. His professional background remains focused on advancing open-source software, distributed databases, and bare-metal computing architectures.
