Pablo Chico de Guzman

Pablo Chico de Guzman is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Okteto, an enterprise cloud-native development platform, currently based in San Francisco, California. Prior to launching Okteto in 2018, he served as a Software Engineer at Docker, contributing to the development of Docker Cloud following the company's 2015 acquisition of Tutum. He previously worked as a core engineer at Tutum, building container deployment solutions for modern software teams. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, researching distributed systems and logic programming. Under his technical leadership, Okteto secured a $15 million Series A funding round led by Two Sigma Ventures to scale its Kubernetes-based environments. His professional background is defined by a continuous focus on advancing developer productivity tools, container orchestration, and scalable cloud infrastructure engineering.
