Parker Harris

Parker Harris is the Chief Technology Officer at Slack, based in San Francisco, California, where he oversees the engineering team and sets the platform's technical vision. He is best known for co-founding Salesforce in 1999, serving as its Chief Technical Officer and helping scale the business into the fourth-largest enterprise software company globally, with over $10 billion in annual revenue and a $75 billion market valuation. Before launching Salesforce, Harris co-founded Left Coast Software in 1996 and developed early sales force automation tools at Metropolis Software, a company that was subsequently acquired by Clarify. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Middlebury College and attended the School Year Abroad program. His career remains focused on leading large-scale software engineering operations and shaping the technical architecture of major enterprise cloud computing platforms.
