Pat Kenealy

Pat Kenealy is a Venture Partner and Co-Founder at Ridge Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in San Francisco, California. In his current capacity, he advises emerging software startups and serves as a board director or observer for four active portfolio companies, including Espresa, nWay, Upwave, and Yesware. Prior to his transition into venture capital, Kenealy built an extensive executive career in technology media, most notably serving as the Chief Executive Officer of International Data Group (IDG) and as the Publisher and CEO of PCWorld. He previously founded IDG’s Digital News Publishing and held senior management positions at Ziff-Davis Publishing and Cahners Publishing, having earlier earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Harvard University. His professional focus remains centered on providing early-stage venture capital to experienced founders who are actively redefining enterprise software applications.
