Pat Matthews

Pat Matthews is an entrepreneur and investor based in San Antonio, Texas, who focuses on scaling and funding early stage technology startups. He began his career by dropping out of Virginia Tech in 1999 to cofound an internet venture that eventually transitioned into a SaaS business. Between 2002 and 2007, Matthews scaled this email hosting platform to serve tens of thousands of corporate clients, achieving $10 million in annual recurring revenue on just $500,000 in outside capital. Following its acquisition by Rackspace, he remained with the firm for six years to lead its cloud computing and SaaS divisions.
