Patrick Heim

Patrick Heim is a Managing Partner and co-founder at SYN Ventures, a venture capital firm exclusively focused on the global cybersecurity sector. Prior to establishing the firm in February 2021, he transitioned into professional investing in 2017 after serving as an operating partner at ClearSky Security. His extensive corporate background includes holding executive security positions at major technology companies, serving as the Chief Information Security Officer at Dropbox and Salesforce, as well as the Chief Trust Officer at Cylance. Before his formal venture capital career, he spent several years advising early-stage security startups and recently engaged with the broader industry by speaking at an ISSA International event at the ADERO Scottsdale Resort in Arizona. Heim currently leverages his decades of operational cybersecurity expertise to identify, advise, and fund next-generation security enterprises across the technology landscape.
