Patrick S. Chung

Patrick S. Chung is a General Partner at Initialized Capital based in San Francisco, California. He manages over $500 million across multiple funds, including the firm's $150 million Fund V raised in 2024, to lead seed and Series A technology investments. Before joining the early-stage venture firm originally founded by Garry Tan and Alexis Ohanian, Chung earned a computer science degree from Stanford University and led product and engineering teams as a co-founder at technology startups including Heap and Canvas. His broader investment portfolio spans more than 100 early-stage companies, featuring personal angel investments in prominent consumer and financial technology firms such as Coinbase and Instacart. Recently appointed to the board of Ambient.ai in March 2025, Chung leverages his extensive operator background to focus on early-stage enterprise software, artificial intelligence infrastructure, and developer tools.
