Paul Da Silva Jardine is a Venture Partner at Apple Tree Partners and Chief Executive Officer of Aethon Therapeutics. He spent 25 years at Pfizer Research as Vice President of the Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases Biology Research Unit, leading teams that discovered over 50 clinical candidates and four approved medicines. In 2015, he founded Staten Biotechnology and directed the development of an anti-ApoC3 antibody, securing a €430 million acquisition option from Novo Nordisk in 2018. After heading drug discovery at Foresite Labs, he returned to Apple Tree Partners in 2021, having created a program incorporated into Chinook Therapeutics before its acquisition by Novartis for over three billion dollars in 2023. He holds a chemistry degree from the University of Texas at Austin and completed his doctorate and postdoctoral work at Harvard University under Nobel laureate EJ Corey.
