Paul Johan

Paul Johan is the Partner and Chief Operating Officer at Ballast Point Ventures, a venture capital firm he co-founded in 2002. Prior to establishing the firm, he spent four years as a Vice President in the Investment Banking Group at Raymond James & Associates, where he led the telecommunications equipment practice. During his tenure at Raymond James, Johan facilitated over $2 billion in capital raises and advised on more than $1 billion in mergers and acquisitions. He began his financial career as an investment banker at Wachovia Securities and currently holds board seats at several portfolio companies, including The Zebra and AVOXI. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Trustees for the University of Tampa. Johan focuses his current venture capital investments on providing board-level guidance across the telecommunications, payments, and software sectors.
