Paul Johnson

Paul Johnson is a General Partner at Flex Capital based in London, United Kingdom. Prior to joining the venture capital firm in January 2023, he served as a Partner at Seedcamp from 2018 to 2022 and held earlier investment roles at Atomico and LocalGlobe. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge and has backed numerous successful ventures, including the unicorn financial technology company Revolut. At Flex Capital, he manages a portfolio of more than twenty active companies and recently led a $5 million seed investment in the artificial intelligence startup Verdant Labs in June 2025. His current investment focus centers on leading seed and Series A funding rounds for early-stage technology startups operating across the artificial intelligence, financial technology, climate, and software sectors throughout Europe and North America.
