Paul Rabil is the Managing Partner at Whale Rock Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in New York City. Before transitioning to investing, he co-founded the Premier Lacrosse League in 2018, serving as its President until January 2024 and helping the organization reach a valuation exceeding $100 million. His athletic career includes winning a 2005 NCAA championship at Johns Hopkins University and playing as a professional lacrosse All-Star from 2008 to 2018. At Whale Rock Ventures, Rabil manages a portfolio of over 20 companies and recently led a $15 million Series A funding round for the sports technology startup PlayMetrics in March 2025. He also joined the board of directors for WHOOP in October 2025. His current focus centers on early-stage venture capital investments across the sports technology, consumer brand, and enterprise software sectors.
