Paul Szurek

Paul Szurek is a venture capital investor currently serving as a Principal and Partner at Smash Capital. Prior to joining his current firm, he worked as a Vice President at Insight Partners and began his financial career in the investment banking division at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He also holds an undergraduate degree in economics from Stanford University. In his current capacity, he collaborates with a leadership team that has collectively deployed over $4 billion in venture capital and executed more than $100 billion in control transactions. At Smash Capital, he works alongside former Walt Disney Company executives to identify and fund high-growth technology and consumer opportunities. Szurek maintains a primary focus on executing complex venture capital deals and large-scale control transactions to drive long-term portfolio value across the global digital landscape.
