Paul Walker

Paul Walker is a Partner and Co-Head of Healthcare at New Enterprise Associates (NEA) based in Menlo Park, California. Before joining the firm in 2008, he served as a General Partner at MPM Capital managing the MPM BioEquities Fund, and previously worked as a portfolio manager at Franklin Templeton Investments. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Cell Biology alongside a Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Walker has directed investments in multiple biopharmaceutical companies, including Cascadian Therapeutics prior to its acquisition by Seattle Genetics, and InterMune before it was acquired by Roche. He also holds board director positions at Allakos and Tracon Pharmaceuticals, and previously served as a board observer at Sunesis Pharmaceuticals. His current focus centers on guiding later-stage life sciences and biotechnology companies through public market transitions and initial public offerings.
