Paxton Major

Paxton Major is a Managing Director at Northpond Ventures based in Bethesda, Maryland. He joined the venture capital firm as one of its first employees in August 2018 after working as a life sciences strategy consultant at Trinity Partners and earning a bachelor's degree with honors in neurobiology from Brown University. In his current role, he leads the firm's investments across biopharma research tools, precision medicine, and digital health software. Major serves as a board director for five portfolio companies, including EnPlusOne, Kytopen, and QbD Vision, while holding observer seats at six additional startups. His investment track record includes notable portfolio exits such as Current Health, which was acquired by Best Buy, and NanoView. His primary focus remains on funding early-stage therapeutic innovation and the convergence of data, computation, and software within the biotechnology sector.
