Pedro Coutinho

Pedro Coutinho is currently an angel investor at Core Angels Lisbon, an international fund group where he evaluates early-stage startups and prepares founders for investment committee presentations. Prior to his transition into venture capital and angel investing around 2020, he spent six years working as a professional within the commercial space industry. In 2010, Coutinho entered the startup ecosystem by co-founding WATERDOG, a technology development firm initially focused on building native mobile applications for iOS and Android operating systems. Over the following decade, he helped scale the business from a software agency serving corporate clients into a holding company managing equity stakes across Portugal and Spain. Today, his primary investment focus centers on providing small capital checks, sweat equity, and strategic fundraising preparation for early-stage founders operating in the mobile and cloud sectors.
