Peter Bisgaard

Peter Bisgaard is a Managing Director at Pivotal bioVenture Partners, where he oversees investments in private and public life sciences companies. Before joining the firm in 2017, he spent sixteen years at Novo Holdings, serving as a Senior Partner for Novo Ventures in the United States and Denmark. Earlier in his career, he worked in corporate finance and strategy at McKinsey & Co. after earning a Master of Science in Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark in 1998 and completing a postgraduate degree in mathematical modeling. Throughout his two decades in venture capital, he has directed funding and held board positions at several notable biotechnology firms, including Ra Pharma, Nevro, Maplight Therapeutics, and Alder Biopharmaceuticals. His current investment strategy focuses on financing United States and European therapeutics companies that develop innovative technologies to address unmet medical needs.
