Peter (Ming) Yin

Peter (Ming) Yin is a Principal at Qiming Venture Partners based in Shanghai, China. He originally joined the venture capital firm in February 2010 and was later promoted to his current investment role in February 2016 alongside fellow colleagues such as Stella Zhou and Jay Yin. At Qiming, he helps deploy capital from an institutional pool of $4 billion in total assets under management, which is distributed across seven US Dollar funds and five RMB funds. Working under the leadership of Founding Managing Partner Gary Rieschel and Managing Partner William Hu, Yin contributes to a broader portfolio that exceeded 250 investments by 2018, supported by the firm's $935 million USD Fund VI. His primary investment focus currently centers on sourcing and funding early-stage technology company opportunities within the environmental protection, energy, and broader cleantech sectors.
