Peter Moran

Peter Moran is a General Partner at DCM Ventures in Silicon Valley, California, where he helps manage over $3 billion in assets across multiple global funds. Prior to his 18-year tenure in venture capital, he held operational and strategic leadership roles at Hewlett-Packard, KLA Instruments, and McKinsey & Co., where he assisted in establishing the consulting firm's Silicon Valley office. He also previously led the Computer Products business at Arrow Electronics. At DCM, which has backed more than 300 technology companies since 1996, Moran has directed investments in enterprises including SigmaTel, SMIC, and Augmedix. Beyond his direct investment activities, he holds board positions with El Camino Hospital and the Stanford School of Engineering. His current investment focus centers on identifying and supporting early-stage companies within the digital health, tech-enabled education, and semiconductor sectors.
