Peter Sanborn

Peter Sanborn is a San Francisco-based General Partner at Arbor Ventures, where he leads growth-stage investments for the Arbor B-FLEXION Growth Fund and supports the early-stage team. Before joining the firm in May 2022, he served as Vice President and Head of Corporate Development at PayPal and was a founding member of PayPal Ventures. During his tenure, he managed major acquisitions including Xoom, Hyperwallet, and Honey, while directing investments into prominent startups like Acorns, Divvy, and Pine Labs. He also oversaw a $100 million capital allocation directed toward 19 venture capital funds led by underrepresented managers. Earlier in his career, he held various financial services roles at HSBC across offices in Hong Kong and Mexico City. Sanborn currently focuses on deploying capital into global technology startups operating across the fintech, payments, and commerce sectors.
