Peyvand Melati

Peyvand Melati is a General Partner at the Archangel Network of Funds, where he co-leads the Axion Fund. Before transitioning to venture capital in 2020, he founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of QEA Tech in 2019, an enterprise utilizing drones and artificial intelligence for energy audits. His earlier corporate tenure includes serving as President of Solarian Technology from 2009 to 2011, Vice President of Engineering at Micro Interface Design from 2002 to 2006, and a Field Application Engineer at STMicroelectronics. An active angel investor since 2017, Melati holds an Executive MBA from the Schulich School of Business and was recognized by the Toronto Star as one of fourteen Canadian entrepreneurs to watch in 2023. He currently focuses on the commercialization and scaling of early-stage research technologies across the artificial intelligence, clean technology, and medical technology sectors.
