Phil G. Joseph

Phil G. Joseph is a Senior Associate at Real Ventures based in Montreal, Canada. In this role, he supports investment activities and sources early-stage technology founders for a firm that manages $330 million across five funds and a portfolio of over 200 companies. Before transitioning to venture capital in 2021, Joseph worked as an Athletic Trainer and Sports Performance Coach for the Philadelphia Eagles and the Chinese Olympic Committee. He holds a Master of Arts in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Science from Concordia University. In January 2021, he founded Rep Matters, an interview series highlighting Black entrepreneurs and investors. His current focus centers on early-stage technology investments while actively promoting diversity, visibility, and funding opportunities for underrepresented founders across the venture capital ecosystem.
