Phil Schwarz

Phil Schwarz is the Managing Partner at Corazon Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Chicago, Illinois. Before transitioning to venture capital, he served as the Chief Marketing Officer at Tinder from 2014 to 2016 and as the Vice President of Growth Initiatives at Match Group. Earlier in his career, Schwarz worked as an Executive Director at Kaplan Ventures, where he co-founded the Kaplan and Techstars EdTech Accelerator, a program whose graduates subsequently raised between $155 million and $250 million in venture funding. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, previously held corporate roles at UBS Investment Bank, and currently advises Oversubscribed Ventures. Today, his primary focus centers on leading early-stage technology investments, securing portfolio board seats, and guiding consumer-facing startups toward successful acquisitions and exits.
