Philip Chopin

Philip Chopin is the Managing Director of NEA UK in London, where he leads the firm's European investment efforts across the consumer, fintech, and enterprise software sectors. Since joining the $24 billion venture capital firm in 2022 as its first European-based partner, he has directed investments into prominent artificial intelligence platforms, most notably leading the funding for Synthesia. Prior to this position, he served as a Partner at 83North, where he oversaw early-stage investments in two technology unicorns and managed high-growth portfolios. His earlier career includes operational and strategic experience, functioning as the Senior Director of International at SSENSE and as a Project Leader at Boston Consulting Group. Holding dual master's degrees in business and management, Chopin currently focuses his efforts on scaling European technology startups by helping founders build highly effective executive teams.
