Philip Kaplan

Philip Kaplan is a serial technology entrepreneur and product management leader currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Information Management and Technology from Syracuse University in 2002, he began his career in consumer technology as an early software engineer at Friendster in 2003. In 2009, Kaplan founded the social shopping platform Blippy, successfully scaling the application to over 100,000 users before it was acquired by Google in 2011. He later served as Vice President of Product at Minted starting in 2018, and he has maintained a public industry presence by hosting the "Startups for the Rest of Us" podcast and engaging with more than 20,000 followers on X. His professional background primarily centers on developing consumer internet products, managing e-commerce platforms, and advising independent technology startups.
