Philip Krim

Philip Krim is the Co-Founder and CEO of Montauk Capital and the Founder and Managing Partner of Montauk Ventures. He previously served as Co-Founder, CEO, and Chairman of Casper Sleep, scaling it to over $500 million in revenue before leading its NYSE IPO and subsequent sale. Before his 2021 departure from Casper, Krim founded two other e-commerce startups and co-founded the Tailwind Acquisition SPACs, which raised more than $1 billion in capital. Through Montauk Ventures, he targets early-stage investments in hyperscale founders, participating in rounds like the multimillion-dollar Ranger insurance seed alongside Lerer Hippeau. Holding a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the Red McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, he now focuses on venture incubation across the energy, infrastructure, industry, software, and artificial intelligence sectors.
