Philipp Emig

Philipp Emig is a Munich-based Senior Vice President at Picus Capital, where he currently leads the venture capital firm's dedicated Energy and Climate Squad. In this leadership capacity for over two and a half years, he directs early-stage investment activities spanning from the initial founder ideation phase through pre-seed and Series A funding rounds. Prior to joining Picus Capital, Emig served as a strategic consultant at McKinsey & Company. During his tenure at the management consulting firm, he managed large-scale projects focused on electric vehicle transformation initiatives for major global automotive corporations. Additionally, he assisted regional energy providers in developing comprehensive startup ecosystems centered around new battery gigafactory infrastructure development. Emig's current investment focus centers on identifying and capitalizing early-stage founders building scalable technologies to accelerate the broader energy transition and climate technology sectors.
