Philipp Moehring

Philipp Moehring is the Managing Partner at 2AM Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Berlin, Germany. In this capacity, he oversees investments in pre-seed and seed-stage technology startups across Europe and Latin America, recently launching the €40 million 2AM Fund II in April 2024. He currently manages more than $50 million in total funds and has built an active portfolio of over 30 companies, including a recent October 2025 investment in an artificial intelligence competitor to DeepL. Prior to his transition into venture capital, he operated as an entrepreneur, notably serving as the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of the fintech startup Billpocket before its 2014 acquisition by Mercado Pago. Holding degrees from HEC Lausanne and Maastricht University, his current professional focus centers on accelerating early-stage software, cryptocurrency, and deep tech enterprises.
