Pierre-Edouard Stérin

Pierre-Edouard Stérin is a French entrepreneur and an investor at Resonance VC, operating through his family office, Otium Capital. He previously co-founded the leading gift box company Smartbox and formally established Otium Capital in 2009 to manage his growing portfolio of early-stage technology investments. Through this vehicle, Stérin currently manages approximately 1.5 billion euros in assets, achieving a 25 percent annual internal rate of return since 2015 across a portfolio of more than 100 startups. His venture capital holdings include significant stakes in prominent European technology unicorns such as Payfit and Owkin. In late 2022, he launched the 150 million euro Resonance VC fund to target pre-seed to Series A funding rounds within the European technology sector. Stérin maintains a primary focus on early-stage investments across artificial intelligence, digital marketplaces, business-to-business software, and sustainability initiatives.
