Pierre-Yves Ricau

Pierre-Yves Ricau is a Principal Android Engineer at Square, a subsidiary of Block, and is currently based in Lyon, France. He has accumulated over 15 years of experience in Android development since entering the field in 2009, including a 12-year tenure working in San Francisco before his recent relocation. Ricau joined Square in 2013 and has spent more than a decade shaping the company's mobile engineering infrastructure. Alongside his corporate work, he is the creator of LeakCanary, a prominent open-source memory leak detection library for Android applications. He frequently shares his technical expertise through his personal blog and industry presentations, such as his sessions on production debugging at the droidcon conference.
