Pieter Kemps

Pieter Kemps is an early-stage investor and entrepreneur currently pursuing new ventures in the European Union from his base in the Netherlands. Prior to his recent transition in August 2025, he spent over a decade as a venture capital professional at Peak XV Partners, the investment firm formerly known as Sequoia Capital India & SEA. Operating primarily out of Singapore before relocating during the global pandemic, he served as a Surge Partner managing seed-stage equity investments through the firm's dedicated accelerator program. In this leadership capacity, he oversaw the broader Southeast Asian portfolio and directed capital into regional technology startups. He notably led early institutional funding rounds for Singapore-based Horizon Quantum Computing and Hong Kong-based Wati.io. His extensive professional background centers on identifying, funding, and scaling early-stage technology enterprises across emerging and developed international markets.
