Pontus Ottosson

Pontus Ottosson is the CEO and Head of Investments at Chalmers Ventures, a prominent deeptech venture builder based in Gothenburg, Sweden. He assumed the chief executive role in January 2024, succeeding Sara Wallin following her transition to lead the Chalmers Foundation. Prior to this appointment, Ottosson served as Head of Investments at the firm since 2017, successfully overseeing the growth of the active portfolio value from 155 million SEK to 488 million SEK. Earlier in his career, he was the CEO of PULS, now known as Aqilion, where he secured 500 million SEK in venture capital and facilitated portfolio exits totaling 1.1 billion SEK. His current focus centers on bridging research labs to market impact by scaling deeptech startups that originate from Chalmers University of Technology, while expanding the firm's annual investment capacity to 90 million SEK.
