Pooria Azimi

Pooria Azimi is a Co-Founder at Agave, a B2B API platform for the construction industry, based in San Francisco. Before launching Agave, he served as a core software engineer at Graphiq, a semantic search startup that was subsequently acquired by Amazon. Following the acquisition, Azimi worked directly at Amazon, where he scaled search infrastructure to support dozens of languages and process billions of queries per month. He later partnered with his former Graphiq colleague Tom Reno to establish the startup Agave, which participated in the Y Combinator Winter 2022 batch and secured over $5 million in funding from investors including Accel. Azimi, who holds a master's degree in Computer Science from Oregon State University, currently focuses on scaling operations and strategy for a 23-person team building data synchronization across construction and accounting systems.
