Pranay Prateek

Pranay Prateek is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of SigNoz, an open-source observability platform based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. He leads product development for the open-core platform, which serves as an alternative to DataDog and recently reached one million daily ingested metrics across its user base in the first quarter of 2025. Under his technical leadership, SigNoz secured $6.5 million in seed funding in 2022 and has scaled to support over 10,000 active users and 1,000 companies, while accumulating more than 50,000 stars on GitHub. Prior to establishing the startup, Prateek worked as a Software Engineer at Microsoft from 2018 to 2020, focusing on Azure cloud infrastructure, after earning a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. His current focus centers on advancing cloud-native technologies, distributed systems, and open-source software development.
