Praveen Akkiraju

Praveen Akkiraju is a Managing Director at Insight Partners based in New York, NY, where he evaluates Series A and Series B investments and co-leads the firm's India strategy. Before joining the venture capital firm, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of cloud infrastructure provider VCE, acquired by EMC, and enterprise software company Viptela, acquired by Cisco. Earlier in his career, he worked as an engineering leader at Cisco Systems developing internet platforms, and he currently serves as a board advisor for Glass Imaging. At Insight Partners, he directs capital toward enterprise infrastructure and cybersecurity, including a March 2021 investment in Privacera and a portfolio of over 60 companies utilizing agentic artificial intelligence. His current focus centers on identifying and scaling high-growth technology startups across the artificial intelligence, data platform, and DevOps sectors.
