Promod Haque

Promod Haque is a Managing Partner at Norwest Venture Partners based in Silicon Valley, California. Since joining the firm in 1990, he has invested in more than 70 companies, generating over $40 billion in aggregate exit value through at least 25 initial public offerings and nearly 50 acquisitions. His notable investments include serving as the founding investor and board chair of Virtela, an enterprise network company acquired for $525 million. Prior to his venture capital career, he held executive and operational roles, including Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer positions, at companies such as Siemens International and Thorn EMI. He holds a doctorate in electrical engineering from Northwestern University and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management. Haque currently focuses on early and growth-stage investments across enterprise software, cybersecurity, and healthcare IT.
