Pryor Smartt

Pryor Smartt is the Managing Partner at Lead Capital Partners, a private equity firm based in Nashville, Tennessee. Before his current role, he served as Director of Investments at Harbert Management Corporation, an institutional alternative asset manager, and held associate-level investment banking positions at KeyBanc Capital Markets and SunTrust Bank. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Vanderbilt University in 1995. At Lead Capital Partners, Smartt recently oversaw the raising of more than $61 million from 41 investors for the firm's targeted $125 million second fund. His transaction history includes the 2023 sale of portfolio company The Hardenbergh Group to BV Investment Partners following an eight-year hold, alongside a 2025 platform investment in Lieberman, Inc. Smartt currently focuses on providing growth capital and operational support to founder-owned, lower-middle-market healthcare services businesses across the United States.
