Qian Wang

Qian Wang is a Principal at Pivotal bioVenture Partners, a life sciences venture capital firm based in San Francisco, California. She joined the investment firm in January 2022 to focus on private equity and venture capital transactions within the biotechnology sector. Before assuming her current role, she served as a Healthcare Equity Analyst at BlackRock from 2019 to 2022, evaluating public market investments across various medical industries. Previously, Wang spent four years working as a Vice President of Equity Research at Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith, Inc. between 2015 and 2019. Her academic background includes an undergraduate degree from Fudan University and a PhD from the University of Maryland Medical Center. Currently, Wang combines her doctoral-level scientific training with her institutional finance background to identify and fund emerging healthcare and life sciences companies.
