Rachel Lane

Rachel Lane is the Senior Vice President of Business Development and Operations at Xaira Therapeutics, based in South San Francisco, California. In this capacity, she oversees business development strategy and the integration of artificial intelligence with therapeutic development, reporting directly to President Jeff Jonker and Chief Executive Officer Marc Tessier-Lavigne. Prior to joining Xaira, Lane served as the Chief Business Officer at Belharra Therapeutics, where she architected and closed major platform partnerships with Genentech and Sanofi. Her earlier career includes over a decade of experience operating and investing in the biotechnology sector, featuring roles as Chief Business Officer at Inception Therapeutics and a core investment team member at Versant Ventures. Holding a doctorate in Molecular Genetics and Cell Biology, Lane focuses her current efforts on advancing AI-enabled drug discovery and structuring strategic therapeutics partnerships.
