Rachel Rath

Rachel Rath currently serves as the Director of the BARDA Alliance for Johnson & Johnson Innovation in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. In this capacity, she leads Blue Knight, a joint initiative between JLABS and the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority that supports over 30 early-stage companies focused on public health threats and emerging infectious diseases. Prior to joining Johnson & Johnson, Rath spent five years at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute, where she managed a $130 million portfolio of clinical research infrastructure investments. Her earlier career includes strategic roles at the National Institutes of Health and the National Cancer Institute, alongside earning dual Master of Business Administration and Master of Public Health degrees from Johns Hopkins University. Rath's professional background centers on bridging corporate venture resources with federal healthcare initiatives to accelerate biotechnology solutions.
