Rachel Tipograph

Rachel Tipograph is the General Partner of Cleo Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm based in New York City. Before establishing this solo GP fund, she earned a computer science degree from Columbia University and began her technology career working as a Product Manager at both Goldman Sachs and AOL. Through Cleo Capital, Tipograph has successfully raised a $15 million Fund I in 2018 and a subsequent $25 million Fund II, building an active portfolio of over 30 companies. Her recent investment activity includes leading a 2024 seed round for the artificial intelligence personal finance startup Pocketguard, while also contributing thought leadership to publications like Forbes. Tipograph currently focuses her capital deployment on pre-seed and seed-stage investments across consumer technology, software, and healthtech, maintaining a specific mandate to back female-led enterprises and underrepresented founders.
