Rafael Valdivia

Rafael Valdivia is the Managing Partner at LAB Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Miami, Florida. He joined the firm in 2019 to support its investment platform and portfolio companies, drawing on over twenty years of experience in financial markets and more than fifteen years in investment management, overseeing a portfolio exceeding $3 billion in assets. Prior to his venture capital career, Valdivia operated as an entrepreneur across Brazil, Spain, and the United States, launching online stock trading platforms, clean energy hydropower initiatives, and the restaurant chain Pobre Juan. His entrepreneurial ventures earned him recognition as an Endeavor Global Entrepreneur and a nomination for the EY Brazil Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2014. Today, his primary focus centers on scaling LAB Ventures' formalized early-stage fund and directing capital toward emerging property technology startups.
