Rajeev Surati is an active angel investor, startup advisor, and serial entrepreneur based in the Greater Boston area who earned his undergraduate and doctoral degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). At MIT, his academic research focused heavily on developing highly scalable computing architectures. In 1998, Surati co-founded Flash Communications, an early enterprise instant messaging platform that was acquired by Microsoft and integrated into its core communication software suite. Following this exit, he co-founded the pioneering online photography community Photo-net, which grew to serve millions of active users before its eventual acquisition. Over the past two decades, he has leveraged his technical expertise to fund and advise over fifty early-stage technology ventures, currently providing strategic guidance and seed capital to founders building enterprise software solutions.
