Rajiv Bala

Rajiv Bala is the Managing Partner at Scout Ventures, based in San Francisco, California, where he leads seed and Series A investments in early-stage technology companies. Managing over $100 million in assets, his portfolio encompasses more than 20 companies and includes notable exits such as the acquisition of Cruise by General Motors. In 2024, he directed Scout Ventures' investment in the artificial intelligence coding platform Replit, and he recently served as an advisor to the hardware startup Memfault. Before his venture capital career, Bala worked as a Product Manager at Telltale Games and a Software Engineer at Texas Instruments, having earned an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and a BS from Rice University. He currently focuses on scaling early-stage enterprises across the artificial intelligence, developer tools, gaming, and hardware technology sectors.
