Ram Shanmugam

Ram Shanmugam is an Investor at Blockchain Founders Fund, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Singapore. Prior to his current role, he served as the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Accelchain, a Web3 development automation platform. He previously founded and led two enterprise technology companies, AutonomIQ and appOrbit, both of which culminated in successful acquisitions before his transition into venture capital. Shanmugam holds advanced degrees in engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of California, Berkeley, and the Georgia Institute of Technology. At Blockchain Founders Fund, which was recently recognized by APAC Insider as a top venture firm, he participated in a $2.0 million seed funding round for Kredete in June 2024. His current investment focus centers on providing operational support and pre-seed capital to emerging blockchain and Web3 startups.
