Ramin Sayar

Ramin Sayar is currently a Venture Partner at DFJ Growth, a role he assumed in 2024 after a nine-year tenure as President and Chief Executive Officer of Sumo Logic. During his leadership at Sumo Logic, he guided the cloud analytics company through its initial public offering. Previously, Sayar served as Senior Vice President and General Manager at VMware, where he developed the Cloud Management Business Unit into a division generating nearly $1 billion in revenue. His earlier career includes executive product and strategy positions at HP Software, Mercury Software, and TIBCO, supported by an MBA from San Jose State University and a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Sayar leverages his 25 years of operational experience to focus on investments and advisory roles within the cloud-based data analytics, DevSecOps, and infrastructure software sectors.
