Rana Abdel Latif is a Partner at Speedinvest, where she leads the firm's Emerging Markets team and co-manages an Africa-focused investment vehicle. She currently oversees a €40 million commitment from the European Investment Bank to back early-stage fintech startups across the Middle East and Africa, with 30% of capital allocated to gender-smart initiatives. Before joining Speedinvest in January 2024, she served as a Senior Principal at Global Ventures and led investments at Nclude Fintech Fund. Her earlier career includes over twelve years in private equity at Qalaa Holdings, focusing on mergers, acquisitions, and financing across the energy, cement, and transportation sectors. She holds a Global Executive MBA awarded jointly by Columbia Business School and London Business School.
