Ravi Gupta

Ravi Gupta is currently a Partner on the growth team at Sequoia Capital, where he specializes in growth-stage venture capital investments. Before joining the prominent venture capital firm in 2019, he served as both Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Instacart. Prior to his executive tenure at the grocery delivery platform, Gupta spent over a decade working in private equity at KKR & Co. He originally grew up in Chicago and completed his undergraduate studies as an economics major with no initial background in the technology sector. Recently featured on The Knowledge Project podcast to discuss private equity lessons, he leverages his diverse financial background to advise emerging technology companies. Today, his primary focus centers on guiding growth-stage founders through complex decision-making processes by helping them distinguish between fantasy and operational reality.
