Rayfe Gaspar-Asaoka

Rayfe Gaspar-Asaoka is a Partner at Geodesic’s Alliance Fund based in Los Angeles, California, where he leads early-stage venture capital investments in frontier technologies. Previously, he served as a Partner at Canaan Partners, focusing on Seed through Series B funding rounds and leading the 2018 Series A in Apex.AI and the 2019 seed round in Fireflies.AI. Born in Hawaii, he began his career as an electrical engineer at Raytheon before transitioning to management consulting at Keystone Strategy. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California and a Master of Science from Stanford University, where he researched signal processing and chip design. A member of Kauffman Fellows Class 25, Gaspar-Asaoka currently focuses his investments on dual-use deep technologies, artificial intelligence, robotics, space tech, and B2B enterprise infrastructure software.
