Raymond Lo is a technologist and the current Evangelist for the OpenVINO artificial intelligence software product at Intel. He holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto, where he initially developed his foundational academic expertise in computer vision and wearable technology. In the summer of 2013, Lo co-founded the augmented reality technology startup Meta, subsequently serving as the company's Chief Technology Officer. During his executive tenure as CTO, he successfully directed the engineering teams to ship two distinct hardware products and helped the enterprise raise over $73 million in venture capital funding through its corporate Series B round. Drawing on more than a decade of dedicated academic and industry research experience, his current professional focus centers on AI product advocacy, developer framework engagement, and the advancement of computer vision systems.
